What do you find most rewarding about your area of practice? Hospitalist medicine challenges you to think on your feet, and the pathology changes daily.

Why did you decide to specialize in your specialty? I like to do procedures and to take care of critically-ill patients along with some of the more common illnesses. I don't like the 'same old, same old' on a daily basis, and this specialty keeps you fresh.

What do you like most about practicing at Mission Health System? There are plenty of specialists around to assist with the complex cases and to bounce ideas off of. I usually learn something new or am refreshed on an obscure topic on a daily basis.

Personal Interests: Dr. Cope enjoys skiing, weight training, hiking and camping. He also likes clay shooting.
