As a hospitalist, Dr. Shah-Taylor specializes in caring for adult patients while they are hospitalized. She is trained to treat a wide variety of conditions and responsible for:

  • Stabilizing patients and diagnosing their condition
  • Managing patients' medications while they are hospitalized
  • Ensuring the patient's continuum of care after discharge
  • Explaining and communicating information about the patient's health problem and the treatment plan to the patient, the family and other doctors

She has special professional interests in:

  • International medicine and medical relief work
  • Providing medical care to the underserved
  • Collaborating with cardiologists to treat heart failure
  • Nutrition and functional medicine

Personal Background:
A native of Chicago, Dr. Shah-Taylor enjoys hiking, biking, trekking, scuba diving, camping, meditation and yoga. She is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati and knows medical Spanish.
